Anybody got $2,200 a month to lend? We promise to cut all ties as soon as we start turning a profit. Sorry we didn't take any pics.
While checking out the space we also took a tour of the other Chinatown galleries. $100,000 Gordon Matta-Clark diptychs or crappy marker drawings at Jack Hanley interest anyone? If the guy is THE gallerist in SF, why's his LA space so crap? Anne Collier would be way better than the bad Bill Owens prints he was showing last time.
The highlight of the jaunt was a stop at Ooga Booga which i'd never seen before. I picked up a copy of the Bless book and a bootleg photocopied book/zine. Check out the store if you're a fan of Opening Ceremony.
Did I mention that the 4-F space would be perfect? a perfect Valentines Day present, thanks in advance Libby.
