So after much deliberation and careful consideration, Star and I decided to make our own Jucy Lucys (video clip not suitable for the faint of heart).
Basically a beef hockey puck stuffed with american cheese (3 pieces max), these 1/3+ pound burgers are no joke. However, after careful calculation, we were unsatisfied with the amount of cheese the beef pocket was able to contain and opted for the addition of one slice during cooking (to coat the burger) and another during the dressing phase. Other essential elements: butter-grilled buns, grilled sweet onions, and tomato.
Needles to say, they were winners.
Having tasted the original, Star's uncle retains his preference for something called a BUTTER BURGER.
